Dr. Gary Smith
|
Dr. and Mrs. Smith are the founders of the practice. Dr. Smith has special interests in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery as well as dermatology. Outside the practice Dr. Smith enjoys skiing, windsurfing, and spending time with his family. He lives on a farm surrounded by pets, mostly adopted at the hospital.

Dr. Kathryn Mitchell-Poirier
|
Dr. Mitchell-Poirier has special interests in animal reproduction. In her spare time she breeds and shows Labrador and Golden Retrievers as well as raising a family and going camping. Balancing a busy career and raising a family of three boys requires a very organized person and Kathryn does both with skill and enthusiasm.

Dr. Guy Arad
|
Dr. Arad moved with his wife, two daughters, dog and cat from Israel early in 2007 to join our team. He graduated from the Saint Istvan University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest, Hungary in 2002. His foci include orthopedic surgery, intensive care and cardiology.In his free time he enjoys hiking, cycling, kayaking and spending time with his family.

Dr. Jackie Armstrong
|
Dr. Armstrong joined our practice in September 2008. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 1996, and then completed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Oklahoma State University Veterinary Hospital. Jackie, and her husband, and her two girls moved from Calgary to Surrey in 2001. They live in Fraser Heights with their standard poodle Willie and their cat Chestnut. Jackie's interests are internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. She has a special interest and soft spot for geriatric feline medicine.
